Whether you’re seeking support through trauma healing, energy medicine, meditation, Qigong, or spiritual development, Caroline’s approach combines science, compassion, and decades of experience to help you reconnect with your authentic self.

My curiosity about wellness and the human body led me to study exercise physiology at the University of Victoria, where I received a master’s degree in 1991. I worked with a wide spectrum of clients, ranging from chronic pain clients to elite national-level athletes.  As an exercise therapist working with injury rehabilitation clients who were not healing, I noticed the effect of mind, emotions, and spirit on a patient’s recovery.  This fueled a desire to learn about non-physical components of healing, such as psychology, and alternative healing modalities.

I learned more about energy therapy, energetic psychology, spirituality and metaphysics by studying Medical Qigong, also known as Chinese Energetic Medicine. I supplemented this with training in shamanic practices such as soul retrieval, channeling, past life journeying, and mediumship. In 2014, I started using light body meditation journeys to explore expanded states of consciousness.  After years of training and exploration, I have woven all these practices together to create a unique, wholistic lens through which to observe human health, wellness, and healing. My focus is on the emotional and spiritual blockages that create energetic stagnation in the body.

What is Medical Qigong

“We seek to support and supplement the services clients are receiving from their other medical care providers, and to empower them to become more responsible for their own wellbeing.”

The Definition

Medical Qigong (also known as Chinese Energetic Medicine) is one of the four main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), along with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and massage.  Qi is life force energy; Qigong is the skillful application of life force energy.

The practice is reputed to be over 4000 years old, originating in Ancient China, with influences from other countries such as India.

How it is used

Interruptions to Qi flow or energetic imbalances can occur because of a busy lifestyle, poor diet, illness/injury, consistent negative emotional patterns, and many other reasons.  A Qigong practitioner is trained to sense and correct these Qi imbalances. They do this by purging stagnation to open energy flow, energizing the tissues, and re-establishing energy balance in the body.

Qigong practitioners prescribe homework for their clients: gentle physical exercises, visualizations, meditations, and breathing techniques to support and maintain this new balance.

Caroline Kimoto

As my understanding of healing deepened, I realized that to truly guide others, I first needed to experience the journey myself.

I became the first participant in my own program. By bringing greater consciousness to my body, emotions, unconscious thoughts, patterns, and beliefs, and by integrating a variety of healing approaches, I gradually overcame “stuckness” at many levels to reconnect with my authentic self. Along the way, I discovered that there is a full spectrum of energy and frequencies that can be accessed to support healing, expand awareness, and deepen consciousness. Through this process, I gained greater clarity about my purpose and became empowered to make choices that have created a life filled with more joy, peace, confidence, flowing emotions, and higher thoughts than ever before.

Today, I use this integrative approach in my work with clients and students to help them explore their own potential for healing, transformation, and spiritual growth. Together, we work to identify and transform the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual blockages that may be standing in the way of greater health, balance, and fulfilment. My purpose is to help bring consciousness to what was previously unconscious, empowering people to live by their highest choices rather than by default, and to discover their most authentic expression.

Blockages to healthy energy flow can occur at the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. These interruptions can disrupt the body’s natural healing abilities, leading to pain, dis-ease, decreased vitality, and a reduced ability to flow with and enjoy life. At Integrative Energy Arts, we help clients identify, explore, and transform these blockages so they can experience greater health, joy, energy, balance, and flow.

Our bodies are an incredible source of wisdom. By learning to listen to them, we gain greater awareness of ourselves and the patterns that shape our lives. Through body-focused services including Qigong classes, transformational programs, and individual and group sessions, Integrative Energy Arts helps clients reconnect with themselves and cultivate greater consciousness, authenticity, and wellbeing.

As Integrative Energy Arts has evolved, so too has its vision. While continuing to support physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing, our work now also explores expanded states of awareness and higher consciousness. Programs such as Awakening Your Light Body and Learning to Channel provide opportunities for those who wish to deepen their spiritual practice, explore higher frequencies of consciousness, and continue their journey of personal transformation.
