The summer has transitioned into Fall, into the process of death and decay, and letting go…..
“Holding on is believing that there’s only a past; letting go is knowing that there’s a future.”
Daphne Rose Kingma
And I am in the process of letting go of my work as a Health and Wellness consultant for the current company I work for, trusting I will be lead to, or I will create, whatever comes next….letting go of who I was and learning to be who I am in this moment. I give gratitude to all I have learned from my previous job – the lessons it brought; am grateful it has helped fund all my studies (I am a lifelong learner!), and so glad it allowed me to meet and serve so many wonderful people! It is the longest job I have had (approximately 15 years), and I am so fortunate to have had this opportunity in my life – it has been a pivotal pillar in my spiritual growth, as have all my employment opportunities. Hindsight is 20/20!
I will be teaching more in the future, and have a class of Qigong students currently in progress. This is a year-long program, and we have made excellent progress to date! The program culminates in a medical qigong clinic in June…we will be looking for volunteer clients at that time. I continue to enjoy meditating (Lightbody) and hope to teach a face-to-face Lightbody class in the near future. I will be teaching an online Lightbody course starting in January 2019 with my friend and teacher – Wendy Lang. Please contact me if you are interested in the online version, or see details here.
I have been called to add Learning to Channel classes to the repertoire of classes I teach. Channelling is a skill that anyone can learn in order to receive guidance and support for living your life with more peace and joy – all one needs is a strong intention to do so. You will be taught to connect with the Highest Guides/Beings of Light, who have one’s highest good and spiritual growth as their priority. They will advise, give a higher perspective to various situations in one’s life, and leave it up to the individual to make choices and decisions that are aligned with the individual’s intention. High guides only guide – they will not tell an individual what to do, and they do not predict the future. Many of the people who see me want higher insight into the events of their life – by teaching you how to channel, you will learn how to find these insights yourself. In essence, the guides and I are teaching you how to fish instead of giving you a fish. If you’re interested, let me know – a Learning to Channel class is running the weekend of November 10 and 11, 2018, and I will consider running another one in 2019 if there is enough interest. Contact me by email – firstname.lastname@example.org – if you would like to attend a Learning to Channel class. I am open to arranging classes for specific groups – if you have six or more people who are interested, please let me know.
Finally, I have decided to take the Doctorate of Medical Qigong Program, specializing in Oncology, with my teacher Wendy Lang. This is a two-year program, beginning later this month, creating a total of 2000 hours of study (since starting to study medical qigong in 2010). While oncology is not my preferred area of expertise, I believe understanding this area will help me research health maintenance and disease prevention strategies to nip cancer in the bud before it starts. There is a part of me that also understands that cancer is a great teacher, and presents opportunities for healing for patients and their friends and family alike….perhaps that is another area that I can focus on. I see the opportunity and need for people diagnosed with cancer to be able to socialize with each other and provide support to one another. I see the creation of a local cancer support group in the near future that I would like to be a part of. Qigong offers much to support and work along with Western treatment of cancer, including exercises to maintain health and vitality while undergoing treatment, exercises to supplement Western medicine practices, practices to reduce the harmful effects of radiation and chemotherapy, and opportunities to learn stress reduction and relaxation techniques to support people going through cancer diagnosis and treatment. Stay tuned!
Blessings for a fall filled with Light and Peace,
